Momofuku Milk Bar is one of my favorite bakeries here in New York. I first discovered it years ago after an amazing dinner at the newly opened Momofuku in the East Village; we went next door to their Milk Bar to have dessert. What makes this bakery unique from the others is they offer classic favorites with a twist. Like the compost cookie which has just about everything like potato chips and crack pie which is super addictive and you don’t know why. These Milk Bar treats have now been my favorites for a long time and I was so excited to find out that they offer baking classes at their Williamsburg, Brooklyn location. For my birthday weekend, my girlfriends and I took a baking class and made birthday cake truffles and crack pie. It was the most fun I’ve ever had at a baking class. Even though it was only 11 AM, they offered us beer while we baked and cute vintage head scarves to wrap around our heads. I love baking because it brings out the Type A in me. Everything has to be measured out, precise, and the timing needs to be perfect. Baking is one of my favorite things to do and taking a Momofuku Milk Bar baking class with my girlfriends was the perfect birthday activity. The class is $95 which seems a bit pricey but each crack pie alone is $44 and they let you take home everything you make. Reserve your spot today and make a fun girls day out of it!
